Registration

Registration will be in the Main Registration tent.

Briefings

In the event of poor weather the briefings will be held inside the main Marque.

Timing System

A micro-chip timing system will be given to each competitor at the registration.

The computor timing system will provide live feedback throughout the event and on completion your finish time will be displayed.  The results will be loaded directly onto the Tri247 web site and the MIG web page which you can access the next day.

Race Numbers

You will receive a Tyvek race number at registration, put any medical information required on the reverse on the template.

The Relay Teams will be issued with two numbers one for the cyclist and one for runner.

Rules

The event will be run under the British Triathlon rules. They can be viewed at  www.britishtriathlon.org, copies will also be available to view on the day at registration.

There will be a British Triathlon referee with a support team including motorcycle referees in attendance. Any penalties will be time-stamped and posted at registration.  Any appeals must be made in writing within 1 hour of the penalty being posted and accompanied by a cheque for £15.00 made payable to “British Triathlon Federation” which is refunded in the event of a successful appeal.

All non British Triathlon members will also be issued with a British Triathlon Day Membership receipt which should be retained.  Day Membership provides public liability insurance cover and free legal advice if you are involved in an accident during the event (for further information visit www.britishtriathlon.org or call 01509 226161).  If you are a member of  British Triathlon please remember to bring your race licence with you to registration - if you fail to do so you will be required to purchase Day Membership for £3.00.

You are advised to familiarise yourself with your position and with the entry/exit points for each discipline (A diagram will be available at Registration detailing transition layout and flow lines). Please do not use anything to mark your position.

Cycle helmets MUST be of an approved design and displaying a recognised safety standard eg ANSI Z90.4, SNELL B90, EN1078 or equivalent.
