STOCKTON TRIATHLON READY!
We’re now shouting it loud and proud; for this the third triathlon at Stockton because, having already organised a highly successful event at Stockton in August 2008, we can confirm that we have already set an unbeatable quality standard for the sport. We have listened and taken in all the great feedback from the event in August and upgraded the event in many ways.
The first male open competitor across the line was Mike Cornes in a time of 01:45:20, yes the cycle was short but this was still a great performance, with Georgie Rutherford coming in, in 02:04:50. We now regroup and prepare for what is going to be ‘The Triathlon Of The North’ 
We are no starangers to major sporting promotions. Trafeco Sport are experts in providing a complete event package. The team is led by Andy Relf, author of the Event Safety Guide (Published by the Home Office in 2006).
The Stockton Triathlon team have extensive experience of organising major triathlon events accross the country and have been involved in the organisation of events such as the Tour de France and currently the Tour of Britain, Etap Caledonia, Bike Blenheim and major triathlons at London, Blenheim, Windsor, Stockholm and Barcelona. Ian Lole the Event Director was the Participation Director for British Triathlon for many years and was the Event Director of the Corus series in 2008. Our work also encompasses athletics events and work from motor racing to street events and carnivals. Our pedigree on triathlons will match any in the country and this year we have added the fantastic Liverpool Triathlon to our portfolio.
The Stockton team will include the highly experienced team of Ian Lole as Event Director, Bob Bartlett, the leading Route Manager and Safety Officer in the country, Andy Medlock as Operation Director, Andy Thompsett as Transition Director and Paul Groves as Swim Director with a very competent and experienced medical team.
The Referee will be Jem Lawson - Chairman of the English Triathlon Federation.
